Vlad E. Genin, Ph.D. and Professor of Engineering, is the General Editor and a contributing author of this book. He was a Chief Designer of major USSR defense and civilian enterprises. In the late 1980s, he started his U.S. career in Silicon Valley, in international business development, defense conversion, high technology, and Internet technology transfer. Since 1994, he has been Chief Program Coordinator at the Morrison Institute at Stanford University, Campus College Chair at the University of Phoenix and Co-Director of the UCLA-Stanford-Harvard International Program. He was an Advisor to U.S. and foreign universities on international educational programs. He is a past Vice Chairman of the International Committee of the American Institute of Architects (San Francisco). Together with Mikhail Gorbachev, he was elected a member of the International Academy of Science & Business.
